Communications and Narrative Strategy
I am a communications and narrative strategist, with over two decades of eclectic experience working at the intersection of culture and politics, media and storytelling, advocacy and the arts.
As a Vice President at Spitfire, I develop strategy, campaigns and messages alongside fearless partners dedicated to dismantling systems of discrimination and disinformation; redistributing power from corporations to communities; and demanding that our environment and economy are abundant and shared.
I have designed and led trainings and workshops on storytelling, messaging, and narrative to nonprofit communication professionals across the United States. I have delivered presentations at the PolicyLink Equity Summit, UF Center for Public Interest Communications’ frank gathering, Narrative Power Summit and multiple Communications Network conferences. I’ve also moderated and been featured on panels on the media, power, pop culture and disinformation at Cornell University, Northwestern University, Orange County Art Museum and the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City.
Previously, I was a Senior Fellow and founding member of a narrative change and network-building startup. I've developed and implemented external and internal communications strategies, multimedia production, and media grant making for an international foundation. My other past experience has traversed the film, music, and theater worlds.
I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Proteus Fund.
